THE SUN CAME OUT!!!!

It happened, today, August 21st, 2006.....the sun came out. Yes, after over 14 days without it (and almost steady rain) the SUN has returned to Alaska. Yeeehaaaw!!! (okay, yeehaaw isn't my typical response to ANYTHING, but I'm happy)

....and yes, my new XTERRA is very pretty in the sunlight!!!

Coming down the Seward Highway, it was pouring rain, but I saw the rainbow (I know...awww...) and decided to pull over and take this picture.


As if there wasn't enough rain, I had to take this pic near the waterfall at "the Cave". Looked cool anyway.


Wish I'd noticed that broken brush in the drive next to my X...it makes the picture look like poo.

MY NEW XTERRA....STILL NO MUD

Well, here it is...my new XTERRA. I can honestly say I'm in love. As a matter of fact, I just got in from my garage where I spent about 30 minutes towelling it off because I had just pulled in from the rain. I don't think I see mudding in my near future if I'm being THAT neurotic.

Sure, it's all 'stock' right now but, hopefully, with time and help from other XTERRA lovers, that will change. But I must say, even plain old stock is awesome. This machine is incredible and has way more power than I expected!!! As a matter of fact, I just added a license plate cover that says, "U GOT PASSED BY A GIRL"....and they have!!!

Unfortunately, there has not been ONE ray of sun since I brought my X home. So, these are all pictures from the first day I had it (sunday night) and it's been pouring rain ever since....so these are it for pictures until it clears up!!!
